Competition guidelines

Infopedia is launching a competition about life in our village and are looking for stories about what makes Castleconnell special to you?

 

Themes and Format

There are four categories for the story competition – click HERE for more info

  • Stories of Days Gone by
  • Riverside Stories
  • Folklore and Mystery
  • My Castleconnell

Stories can be from the past or the present and should be

  • about Castleconnell
  • 600 words or less
  • original
  • Closing date is Friday 4th December 2020

Submit your entries online at www.infopedia.ie or by email to stories@infopedia.ie

All entries must be accompanied by a completed entry form, available at www.infopedia.ie, from the box in Supervalu, Castleconnell or at various local retail outlets in the village.

 

Rules for participation

These are intended to ensure that all members are able to freely enjoy using this resource. Individuals who do not work within the guidelines will receive a warning. An ignored warning will result in the individual being banned from entering the competition.

The rules and format of the competition as outlined above are not open to discussion. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us.

 

Use your proper name

Please sign posts with your proper name – improper and/or anonymous posts will be removed. We may publish your name on the website alongside your contribution. We will not publish your e-mail address.  We will not share your information with any third party.

 

Relevant topics only

The competition is specifically designed for the sharing of local history resources. Please follow the themes and format as outlined above.

By submitting your competition entry, you agree to grant permission to reproduce, use, modify, store, adapt and share your contribution for any non-commercial purposes, providing your contribution is acknowledged. Anything you submit must be your own original work

Please do not share private information you may have about third parties or third party email contacts without the appropriate permission.
